FOCUS THEMES

Innovation and circular economy including:

  • Beyond improved Waste Management

  • Designing for Circularity

  • Innovative business models for circularity

  • Measuring & Evaluating Circular Innovation(s)

  • Moving to scale, economies of scope

  • New approaches to teaching and communicating C.E.

  • Perspectives on Transformation

You are invited to share insights on these topics or other challenges and to demonstrate approaches, solutions, and best practices related to circular innovation and circular economy.

The circular economy is more than just a fad – businesses transform resources into products and services using enabling resources (heat, light, energy etc) and thus the careful stewardship of these resources talks to the interest of every business. It can’t just be a bolt-on or nice to do or something you drop when times get tough. That is why a Circular Economy represents a ‘new world economic order’. Businesses can change everything they do, but this is very challenging, so we see more and more turning to a staged transition, or portfolio approach, focussing on new circular innovation and the processes and resources they consume to make them. This way they can manage the risk and test the markets.
